Drummond only 27 and about to be under a good system. Him at center and Ad at the power forward is nice for the lakers. I think we see something different from him now that he will have different responsibilities. If he signs with us.

I think he's an empty stats guy with no real impact on the game. And defense has never been the problem for this team, even with Brow and Bron out. They simply can't make shots and he doesn't help with that at all.

I'd love to be wrong if he signs with the Lakers. :yeshrug:
his stats were empty before because they werent laker stats. he still would strengthen rebounding against bigger teams, allows matchup flexibility, and when the team isnt making shots gives offensive focus by being someone the ball can be dumped down to and drawing fouls which helps everyone.

Do you think Dieng could help?

Drummond
AD
Bron
KCP
Dennis

Spacing is gonna be an issue. Got one shooter in the lineup who often forgets how to shoot. Need someone like Porter or Ellington to hit the buyout market.

That’s why I’m leaning towards Dieng being a good pickup.

I havent watched him play lately but I would say that defensively he would help greatly with shot blocking and rebounding. i would give him one edge over drummond in terms of being a bit more mobile which in theory should lead him to being a better pic and roll defender than drummond. he isnt the offensive player drummond is though so he should be cheaper.

Lakers can get three guys if someone is cut. Hoping for Drummond, Porter, and Bradley.

The Lakers don’t need a offensive center they need someone who can defend the paint, rebound and spread the floor. Low key they should cut Gasol and sign Dieng and Drummond and get a shooter if one is available.

well he can defend and rebound. i believe that we need an offensive center particularly one who can put pressure on opposing front lines. fouls he draws cant be used aganst AD or lebron when he drives.
