i dont see it. this was the beginning of hannah's redemption arc, whether it's ultimately fruitful or not. she didn't do anything wrong, and she wasn't there - she barely interacted with jessa after the wedding, and with adam all season
adam never bounced back from anything, he was in the hospital begging to get back with her and got rejected. both of them just got into rebound relationships. hannah's ended with her actually coming off like the sane one, and adam tore his whole apartment up
i hate hannah as much as the next person, but this was her time

Adam has made a career out of acting once Hannah left for Iowa(the beginning of their breakup).
On a unrelated note, I love how this show has matured this season.

Secondly, everything about Adams life got better after he broke up with Hannah. Remember, Hannah went suicidal and started sticking shyt in her ear. Adam went out and got a beautiful girlfriend and started having normal relations. The moment he ran into Hannag, or rather Hannah ran into him and forced a conversation, he went and had angry sex with his girlfriend, nutted on her chest, then stopped talking to her.
He stopped drinking after Hannah.
His acting career took off the moment he distanced himself from Hannah.
Every angry Adam relapse takes place after a Hannah appearance.
Listen to Hannah and Frans breakup again. "I've never acted like this in my life." How many times have people said that after interacting with that bytch. Iowa sealed the deal on that bytch.

all i'm saying is in this instance, adam and jessa, two addicts, got together and wreaked havoc on one another. it would have happened with or without hannah, who happened to be on a relative come-up at the same time, which is not a coincidence since this is all scripted, after all
if you watch lena dunham's little talks after the episodes, she's said a few times that fran is not really a nice guy, and that's why hannah resents him (hannah implied the same of course, but this is the writer herself saying it, meaning in the Girls-verse, it's fact). watching it as a man, i thought fran was acting pretty rationally given the situation, but watching it as someone who was aware of the writer's perspective, fran was supposed to look like the a$$hole here. that hannah handled it all kinda calmly was proof of that, because that's never really been her before

of course she would say Fran was not a nice guy and never provide evidence of such. She said it repeatedly during the episode. It's a defensive mechanism. Dude, in the same episode, she tried to argue that she wasn't wrong and shouldnt be judged for showing her boss her p*ssy. She also gave a blowjob to the ex of a best friend, who she snitched on because he was fukkn another one of her best friends, during a time she was mad at her best friend - for sleeping with her ex.
