Yea it’s gettin crazy. My college roomate and my cousin both had their first born murderered in the last 6 months. Age 23 and 21. Neither was ‘street’ related.
There’s an uptick with regular non-street folk having guns. Whether it’s gun culture, social media hyping up petty beefs (both of their deaths were related to that), or rap normalizing ‘opp’ and murder culture, it’s something different going on. It’s now mainstream not just confined to the ‘hood’
