stu scott, dan, those other second generation faces on ESPN literally brought ESPN up from being some struggling broadcast to the brand they are today. those dudes made sports entertainment and created the formats ESPN been rocking with for decades now
this other shyt ESPN been doing since? a big reason why they've been bleeding money. they can't market their own product well anymore and its a problem because they're actually on the TV deals now instead of just complimentary. the consumer not fukkin with ESPN has kinda been a theme hence all these layoffs and production restructures

bruh....look at ESPN openly struggling across all their sports coverage and platforms as of late. clearly they lost what pushed their massive growth as they can't even sustain what they got. when a solid portion of your marketing is talking bad on your own product whenever the opportunity arises (and this ranges from athlete fukkup nightly to guess what team/superstar is moving next to legacy watch etc) you're doing business against yourself. the result is real.

the 1 thing I'll give him credit for is realizing folks got off on the nignorance, hopefully his moment of clarity extends to seeing his own actions
