I manage men. Probably 90% and this type of confirmation isn't terribly common but it happens more times that I care for it to happen.
Literally just fired a guy yesterday because he called a female coworker a bytch and tried to get in her space similar to what this guy was doing. Luckily there were people there to step in before it got there. Funny enough she was attempting to be kind to him but he decided to take his frustration out on her.
I've also had it happen to me a few times but I have learned how to handle it better. Never anything that scary.
Ya'll are going to be upset by this but it is so incredible easy to trigger certain men. Like literally I've had guys quit and rage out about being told to be on time.
A lot of time is comes down to lack of success and sexism. Happy successful men don't do this. It's always the guys who most people would considered losers.
Combine the unhappy male with a woman (who he believes he should be able to control or who he doesn't want to have authority over him) and this happens. These type of guys only do this to women by the way. They NEVER do this to other men.
Best way to handle these type of males is to keep in face confirmations short and sweet and refer them to another male or at a minimum someone who they can speak to them via email, text, phone call etc.
Even it they try to argue, remove yourself from the conversation especially when you notice them getting angry. Will walking away and ending the conversation make them upset? Of course, but it gives you the chance to end the conversation before it gets out of control or before your safety is in danger.
NEVER get into a shouting match like this because their ego takes over and they go full stupid.
Honestly if it reached that point I probably would had pepper sprayed, stabbed him or ran. He could have killed her at any moment and no one could have stopped him.
Also many times other males won't step in especially if they are the same race or position so don't count on them. But I will say, generally, if you can put yourself between that man and a group of males, even if the males aren't actively doing anything, it will usually deter the aggressor.
I don't argue with men except when I am online. Lol
