hes only 25, his highest was 37 homers in only 145 games, his walk rate is improving and hes added some speed to his game last year (although might be an aberration)

no one in baseball s really worth these kinda numbers nowadays imo (prime Barry aint walkin through that door ) but your analysis is weak.

In this market and this climate, he's definitely worth $27M a year. Now, he probably won't be worth $30M when he's 34-35-36....but right now, he's definitely worth it. Victor Martinez just got $17M a year. Russel martin got $16M+.
