They could have. That's the Jimmy Ponder version of My Guitar Gently Weeps which RZA also used as the scratch version everyone rhymed over for Heart Gently Weeps. Then he went and reworked the song into the album version w/ Dhani Harrison & John Frusciante & one of Ghost's biggest beefs w/ the 8 Diagrams production was taking that sample that he loved and turning it into that album version.
