Stop beefing with that nikka, you could talk to me
If you really like that, you could walk with me
You could spar with me
If you take two to the head by mistake, pardon me
Payback's a bytch, ain't it?
That's why I don't talk to nikkas, I'm good, I ain't gettin' acquainted
Middle finger to the judge, we still killin' the plaintiff
We Staten Island nikkas, we don't gotta explain it, nah
Harlem Shake nikkas for they pockets
Stay tuned for more fakkit nikkas coming out the closet
Rockin' fake Dior, any change made on this ground
Out of respect, you should break me off
Word, I stay stylin' silks, Ballys and raw denim
Get your head wrapped in plastic, I'll Boar's Head 'em (Boar's Head 'em)
Read nikkas up and down like the court's read 'em
Spit acid on everything, strong venom

MassAppeal is horrible at business come on .

Who gives a fk you giving acts that sell 20 copies release dates. That ain't how you pop a label

I have no idea what they doing over there.
Apparently, they don't either

Such a beautiful name for a company n that shyt is being wasted by fools that rather play Zenga in the office

MassAppeal Merch should be a hip hop staple by now

Young energy is what pops a label. I thought we in this shyt to make money n grow the company.
These muhfukas about to put out Kool G Rap next project 🤦🏾‍♂️

Maybe I don't understand their business model
I can imagine that it hard for a lot of rap acts from the 90s to get any type of platforms these days. It’s a new day and time with radio, streaming, social media etc… artist like ghost, kool G rap etc.. probably will do ok touring, but when it comes to dropping new music what outlets/platforms do they really have. With the exception of Nas and Jay, no other artist get any mainstream push. Even Nas has to fight for mainstream push, but he gets way more than others from his era. I think mass appeal leans more towards other aspects of hip hop more than the actual music.

This who did the beat:

When you don't want to pay for an Alchemist beat get a guy who looks like Alchemist :francis:

Buddy doesn't have many followers and most of his tiktoks have a few hundred views so I'm wondering how he even got a beat to Ghost.

These old rappers just get dollar store production. There's plenty of unknowns who are nice but instead of paying them they get generic beats from beat makers who aren't anything special. They just pick whatever and lazily make an album just to put out product.

To be fair Alch not charging legends like that. He works with far smaller artists than Ghost. If Ghost wanted an Alch beat he'd get it. Same with Daringer and them. Honestly I don't think a lot of the 90s rappers are fukking with Griselda like people assume they are but I could be wrong.

I just think a lot of rappers are out of touch with waves, producers etc. Ghost used to be really good with keeping up. He was working with Alchemist, Nottz, No ID, Dilla, Scram Jones, and Frank Dukes at various times of their early careers or primes. If I was A&Ring a Ghost project would I send him a bunch of shyt from V Don/Conductor/Sebb Bash/Kenny Segal/etc? Sure. But the A&Rs and managers are gone and the older rappers kinda just think they have to work with no name (often white) producers for cheap. At some point a lot of rap legends decide why spend on an album no one will want to hear live? I get the crowds want to hear the classics but you gotta try to serve some bangers from your new shyt too. But you need actual bangers.

Definitely wrong. Rae and Ghost cosigned them early on. Nas did a song with Benny that never got released. Busta was on Gunn's album. Meth was on Conway's album. Jay obviously got them on Roc Nation.

Old rappers just don't care to be great anymore hence working with no names for cheap.

But will the fans support their albums if they pay top dollar for the production?

Top dollar would be Metro or Pharrell.

Smoke DZA, Skyzoo, and Camp Lo did albums with Pete Rock. There's no reason these older rappers can't afford him. Pete is going to make them work and they don't want to.

How much to clear the samples?
