Yep, this is why I cant support any of the "hip hop museums" that are in the works. If there is no structure in place for them to hire the living pioneers, then it's exploitation of the culture.

Hip hop is mainstream, so outsiders have swooped in to cash in with no regard for the architects.

The union makes sense. Artists putting a structure in place to support themselves.
