Gamespot gave this a 7 and the negatives on the review looked pretty silly.

"Cant cut down bamboo trees"
"Sometimes the camera gets stuck"
"The game has bad lipsyncing"

I don't feel like any of that is really all that bad. None of the negatives had anything to do with the gameplay or the story, which is the most important components IMO

That’s like a 9 since Gamespot only gives out 8s.

IGN reviewer said it took 50 hours to complete everything 25-30 hours to beat the main story IIRC.
