I feel like I’m in the minority of people that didn’t have an issue with TW3’s combat.

It looks smoother and I’m sure there’s more to it but that’s the feeling I get watching that clip

First impressions have said the combat is somewhere between TW3 and Nioh.

It’s not going to be some revolutionary game like TLOU2. This will be a standard by the books game, and that’s fine by me. I’m going for a solid 8/10.

I'm noticing in these leaked videos that there isn't that much variety in the death animations. Everyone shot with arrow dies the same way. People killed with a sword die in like one of three ways. Might be something they patch later though, just something i noticed. Witcher 3 added a patch to include more kill animations after it's release too.

True, but it's still a valid complaint for some. I vibed with the monster combat on higher difficulty, where you really had to use your resources and study strengths and weaknesses. The human combat never really did it for me other than the gore.

Easily in my top 10 of this gen, and it's closer to 5 than 10

So yeah, just as I expected. Around 8 and a solid good game but nothing special. Definitely buying
