TYRONE GA!
I hope I love these kinda games.

think about how many 3.5-4 out of 5 games you played going back to at least the NES. And remember how short they were and how much bread they cost then. Those prices would be ridiculous today and mufukkaz would be furioius at the game length.

had to start thinking about that and taking a step back

What qualify's as legit gameplay? because i've seen two seperate 20 minute videos of straight nontrailer footage gameplay.

Show me one mission from start to finish. Show me the gameplay loop.
There is loads of gameplay out there, dafuq are you idiots talking about.

Yet still there are questions about the depth of the gameplay which means if nothing else those gameplay videos did a shyt job making people understand the product they are getting.

Can you show me an example of what you mean in other games promotional materials? because i feel like the first gameplay footage they showed satisfies that criteria.

Witcher's E3 demo. Where you saw an entire mission loop. This game should of followed that blue print.

No edited cuts to make the game look as cool as possible. No focusing on japanese voices, black and white, and costumes for 15 minutes of a 20 minute trailer.

They did that months ago.

I understand what yall are saying about still not being clear on the STRUCTURE of the game. Feels like something is missing in the previews, like they won’t show a regular mission or the first 12 minutes or something. For a new IP that is weird. Still haven’t shown skilltrees, crafting, katanas, side characters, the actual story etc

Like the stuff that they’ve shown looks very edited and thrown together.

I'm nitpicking but I think that roll created too much distance. I don't like the slow time effect when picking the new stance, in my opinion that takes away from the pacing of the combat. If shyt is deadly, you shouldn't get time to slow down and think, those should be instinctive switches. It also feels like it takes him a long time to get back into the Water Stance after attacks. With how fluid of a style it seems like it'll be, you'd think the conclusion of the combos would put your body closer to the initial state. What's more, after the combo that kills the second guy, I feel like it let's you parry the third guy too quickly. Just looks kinda off. But like I said, I'm nitpicking.

Would be cool if the weapons actually cut the foliage as you swing, but maybe that's a detail that will have to be picked up in next gen games :yeshrug:

Those kinda things are small but for some reason i always appreciate it when games do it. I like seeing footprints in dirt and snow. i like grass to be affected by the character moving through it and weapons having realistic effects on anything you strike. In uncharted when you running around in the mud and get dirty i was like :ehh:

terrible AI. 2 guys waiting their turn to get attacked :hhh:

also, square, square, square, square, triangle for the finisher
That's actually how samurai fought back then. it was dishonoable to team up on an opponent. He challenges them each one by one in certain playstyles, but you choose to play dishonorably as well.
