Easy decision. I don't even know why they gave players the choice in the matter either. Culturally, its the only answer available in this situation :dead:

That's all yal do when you spare him - tell him to go die later and formally go down as a disgrace in all matters foreign and domestic after returning from failing to kill you. He's dead no matter what. He can head for the crossroads sent off by the last person he cherishes or get executed like a dog. "Spare him" makes it worse for everybody.

Culturally, it's the only option left to samurai. Thematically, disregarding Shimura's request falls in line with Jin deciding to abandon bushido entirely and wholeheartedly embrace becoming the Ghost. That's the significance of the choice, you're either in or out...and considering what Jin had already done by that point - especially the poison - I don't think there was any going back. He'd be demoted to being a peasant and executed like any common criminal once the Shogun shows up.

what you mean :pachaha: that old man was always on one
Between chasing this crazy bytch around the Island, Jin turning down the ass, and Ishikawa old ass wishing it was him that got it, that was a complete waste of my damn time :dahell:

And Ryuzo somewhere covered in worms like "And I was trying to FEED my people. Why can't I get a special pardon and a boat. Did I need to leave a Haiku behind explaining why I did it:gucci:"

Just finished and :wow:

Beautiful game. Probably my favorite from last year after TLOU2. Glad I waited until PS5 to play it. Best thing I can say about it is that while it doesn't do anything spectacular on the surface, it's just a well put together game that knew how to not overstay it's welcome. Combat is fulfilling. Graphics are nice. Story is great. And I wasn't forcing myself to play it.

I wish Ubi would take this approach with these recent AssCreed games.

And yeah I fukking killed that ungrateful rat. Would've taken his head if I could :pacspit:

Outside of that, the ending I chose just FIT. I don't know what the other one played out like. But I can't imagine the game ending any other way than how I chose it. Cinematically and everything, it just worked.
