I’ve started using Rising Tempo for anything below nightmare for Samurai instead of Blessed Strikes because it doubles your attack power for as long as you can avoid being hit. My kill count is crazy. I also use the double Samurai spirit pull.

For nightmare strictly blessed strikes with double spirit pull. Explosive strikes with a big radius is fun but not as effective

Finished Act I a couple nights ago, and have been cutting into Act II.

"My men are starving :demonic:" not an unsuspected moment, but still executed quite well.

Those side quests with Yuriko, though. Wasn't expecting those, and spent the last quest and a half hoping my assumptions were wrong. :mjcry:

I'm in the middle of ACT 3 and I'm just confused how this rated so low on metacritc relatively speaking. This shyt is amazing. Also how is Jin boring? His moment with his UNC towards the end of act 2 was some of the coldest shyt :wow:

these game reviewers are not to be trusted :hubie:

I just wrapped up Act II. I'm chalking up to one or both of two things:

Reviewers maybe didn't have a grasp on Japanese culture the way they thought they did, and perhaps didn't catch the gravity of Jin's decisions, and what they say about him as a character by extension.

Despite reviewers logging 30-40 hours for reviews, it's not a secret that they have to kind've blow through the game to have something ready for when embargos are up. While the side missions aren't anything groundbreaking, they do great work with building Jin's character. As you do more, you can see him realize not just that their tactics are killing them, but the traditional Japanese way of life really isn't working for the people at large any more. As such, he spends at least what I've played of the game so far in quite conflict with himself and the world around him. It just comes to a head at the end of Act II.

this is why I was telling someone I also factor in the user score on metacritic as opposed to just dismissing it...based on user score it’s one of the highest ranked PS4 games (top 10 among the likes of witcher 3, god of war, TLOU remastered)...but as brief keef said at the end of the day your personal opinion of the game is paramount

Yeah, it's fairly comparative to Witcher 3, even tho it's not really an action rpg like that is. Controls and gameplay wise, it shyts on Witcher 3. I prefer the setting as well. Witcher did set the tone and raised the bar as far as narrative and world building goes tho, along with depth, variance and significance to its side quests.

Is there a squad I can join? I’ve just been hammering an exam and Spiderman so took a break from it.

I'll have to take your word on Witcher 3's world building and narrative, because the controls and gameplay lost me QUICK. I've started a new game something like five times, and each time, I just can't get into the combat at all.

Some of us just happen to be on and try to join eachothers games:pachaha:There's no set team or anything though it's usually randomized unless you have a group already that set a private match.
