Just finished the main story last night. A fukkin masterpiece:wow:....Could be the greatest game I ever played. Ocarina of Time will always be number 1 just for sentimental reasons but as far as the writing and gameplay, this is probably the GOAT to me. As I've gotten older I've played videogames a lot less. Most rpg's bore me after a few days....but this shyt made me feel like a kid again. Every day I couldn't wait to get back on this shyt. Everything from the story to the combat was perfect. And it wasn't overly complex to the point where it became a chore. Didn't have to go around mixing up potions and all kinds of bullshyt. The story just kept moving. Even now I can't wait to finish liberating all these towns. I spent a lot of time on side missions just cause I didn't want the game to end.

Playing on lethal really feels like the best way to experience this. I Was playing on hard at first but as I leveled up it became too easy. On lethal you really have to use everything at your disposal. And you can't make no mistakes in these duels :mjcry:.....actually made me elevate my game.

On thing I didn't understand though was how things ended with Yuna. The whole game it seemed as if Jin and Yuna were going to end up together. Normally I don't like romantic sub plots but the way they forced it the entire game made the ending kind of confusing. From jin getting jealous to Yuna saying they should leave and start a life together. Then after the story is over Yuna is just like "aight it's been good fam. Take care":dwillhuh:.....they knocked everything out of the park except for having a proper jin-yuna send off. Even if they didn't end up together there should have been a more dramatic goodbye between them.

But I still give this a 10/10. Hoping they drop a DLC eventually and add to the single player storyline. Kinda sad to see it end :mjcry:

finished the story and
Unc caught that katana to his heart :yeshrug:...I have no honor :gucci: well honor died on that beach & you died under my real father where you belong :umad:

great story which set up the sequel beautifully...I'll say combat is fire but once you level up, things become a bit too easy especially if you go back to the first part of the island where only bandits are but you the Ghost...it's posed to be like that :demonic:that's prolly my only complaint tho...world encounters are extremely repetitive, after side missions, you're just saving random npcs from mongols...hopefully there's more variety in the sequel. I'd also like for the soundtrack to be more engaging...there were times it was :leon::banderas:but for the most part it was just there. Overall, I'd give the game 4.25/5 mics and a great start to hopefully Sony's next great IP.

Gonna finish up getting these trophies and get this plat...ran into a problem where you're supposed to play Lament next to a friend's grave and the trophy doesn't pop up for me:dahell:

It’s a little tougher on new game plus, especially on hard and lethal. Normal difficulty can be beaten blindfolded

got the game on sale. and i'm seeing lot of repetitive missions. Combat is fine, i see the influence from Sekiro. It's alright so far. I'm in act 1 and doing more exploration than I thought I would.

I still prefer RDR2 over this as I was playing that before getting this game. but still a long ways to go.

Went ahead and copped thanks to the sale on PSN. What advice y’all got for a beginner?

Same, the price was cheaper than even pre owned copies i saw.

I would say first and foremost master the parry. Master defense in general. It'll make your life way easier. Play it on lethal. You're gonna die a lot at first. But as you level up it gets much easier. But it's a way funner experience and much more rewarding. Try completing a lot of side quests to level your character up and upgrade your sword and armour. Follow foxes any time you see em to honor shrines and get more charm slots. Complete bamboo strikes for more resolve.

But there's really no right way to play. I just think exploring and doing side quests is the best way to prepare your character for the stronger battles ahead.

Patience. Think like a samurai.....at first:birdman:Remember what stances are best against what weapon type and definitely learn how to parry. Explore explore explore and take everything in. Take your time. Mix up side missions, exploring, and main missions so you can have access to more stuff. You can't do everything immediately so just take it island by island. When you can unlock parrying arrows asap.
