random but despite earlier concerns watching some gameplay the enemies do NOT attack one at a time lol

BecUse those people playing on easy models.

I was riding to see the archer and some golden bird led me to getting my ass whooped by a group of soldiers. Took a similar path and started roaming and saw them again so I put it on easy to see how bad it was and it’s still difficult but they just attack one at a time and wait their turn.

Have people been doing the bow timing?

When walking through safe areas with countrymen, they’ll bow to you, you have to time it correct and swipe down on the touch pad and you’ll bow together. Otherwise it will fail and they’ll walk away. It’s weird but fun lol

Bought the game yesterday, finally getting a chance to play it now. All installed and ready to go. Almost exactly one month ago, we were here playing TLOU2, dodging spoilers and Clicker attacks. Today, we're fighting for honor with katanas. Let's get it, I'm hearing it's beautiful, so I'm prepared to be blown away by the music and the scenery.

Im reading that the side quests actually have substance. You being able to bow (with various outcomes depending on the occassion) & wipe blood off your blade manually is so small, but those little details along with the rave reviews are going a long way to convince me to grab this.

Guess I may as well.

Pros

The previews did this game injustice as far as combat. This shyt is challenging as hell on hard. The enemies don’t sit back waiting one by one to get chopped. You gotta be mindful of your position and get those stances ASAP otherwise you won’t be killing anyone but swordsman. And the duels. I lost to the heavenly strike dude 90 times. But I might just suck

The graphics are insane. I mean usually games like HZD and GOW looks good but I’m never wowed. This shyt is gorgeous. The grass, the particle effects, etc. Truly sublime

The skill tree and customization is much deeper than I anticipated

Cons

Now I’m still in Act 1 recruiting but the story is kinda whatever. More immersed in the world and combat than anything

Yea stealth is ass. I’m not seeing that broken AI but it seems way to easy to kill enemies. They don’t really move or change position that much. Maybe upgrade will make stealth more interesting

The menus are some what cluttered and confusing


All in all I’m enjoying this. Definite must buy
