With being economically challenged, then they shouldnt tip or have too. Or be judged about it.

Tip if you can or becuase the service was worth. Dont be like

you should dine in then. you are part of the problem and people who don't get it like you.

you don't play by different rules because you broke. don't go and sit down at the restaurant if you can't foot the cost.

Why would a cook/chef care about what I tip? He not seeing any of it. Unless the waitress splits it with the staff

Here my issue with this.

I agree with her, some people are less likely to tip regardless and that is a fact, however did her service warrant the tip? I’ve been to plenty of restaurants where the service was mehhh. I use to chalk it up and still tip well, but then I realized that I’m not obligated if I don’t get what I deserve. There are waitresses who are straight negligent, who will do the bare minimum and still expect something out the deal. My thing is, do your job and do it well. If someone doesn’t recognize that, keep it moving. These online confession do nothing but make you look crazy

I usually always tip for good service but a tip is exactly that...a tip. It should never be expected and no one should ever feel obligated to tip anybody. If I'm obligated to pay something then add it to the cost of the food on the menu

Every tipping thread on this forum is full of people saying “get another job” or that tipping doesn’t matter. It’s a problem. I think it’s more to do with class than race. Low class people tend not to tip. Whether they’re ghetto black people or red neck whites. If you can’t afford to tip, or have no intention of tipping…go to McDonalds. Straight up.

I swear it seems like this country is the only place in the world where there's wars over tips. Overseas, they could care less about a tip.

I remember when I ate at a authentic Chinese restaurant and I damn near had to chase the waitress around to give her a tip. Turn to find out, they don't like tips .

Some countries are adopting it. Especially if you go to a tourist spot they know it’s custom in the west to tip so they expect it.. on top of charging you foreigner prices lmao.

Can have 6 people eat at a regular restaurant like Fridays and the bill can come out to $300. LMAO you know what I could do with $300?!

I tip 20% even when the service was not great just because I dont want to make black people look bad. I've been told by several black waiters that black people are terrible tippers especially the women. A black chick told me she dreaded waiting tables with black women because they expect everything but will tip nothing. Also said waiting tables for Jewish women is just as bad.

It won’t change their perception.

If they consciously and subconsciously view black people this way when it comes to dining in and waiting tables, it will show in their service.

And even then, one “good apple” out the bunch won’t change their mind.

I’m not a big eater especially when eating out. Idk what they put in the food but I can never finish my food and always get a doggy bag. I almost always never order sh over $20-30 so a 20% tip ain’t sh.
