It's simple to me.

A non black person growing up in the hood or region where there's lots of blacks and sounds like them=Okay(including white folks barring them saying nikka of course).
A non black person growing up in the suburbs and is known to sound one way but when in the presence of blacks suddenly start talking in a forced way to imitate one is .

Like there's this Italian Cac at my job who at first meeting him I'm sure he not from the hood because of how he talks and sounds but as soon as I'm around and he's talking to me alone he tryna talk about rap, "hood shyt" and tryna be "down". They'll sound like what they get input from the most. Hell, there was this black chick in my high school that sounded EXACTLY like a white valley girl that had us dying. We just called her white girl. I guess he must've grew up getting that input from that type of material for years.

I wanted to touch on this subject.

a lot of these broads are in the bay and houston. many are vietnamese. V-Nasty is half vietnamese. basically, like latinos, they just moved right into the hood and grew up around black people. its when they've never been to the states and talk like that, that I get a little bit weirded out and turned off.

I really shouldnt be turned off by white or asian women sounding urban (we typically dont mind with latino/latinas tho), but I am. no self hate its just very weird to me like a caricature. I'm trying to get over it tho. Im from cali so my accent isn't that strong, I dont sound hood, my pronunciations are clear, but i have no problems dating a black girl that sounds hella hood, but for some strange reason I dont like hearing hood asians and white chicks talk, even if they were born and raised in east oakland. I had a discussion with my mom about it and she made a good point (which has slowly changed my views on the matter).

when you talk chinese, they say cool, if you speak slang chinese, they think its amazing. when asians speak suburban vernacular white people PREFER it, so then why is it that when people speak in african american vernacular we make fun? are we making fun of ourselves? do we see something wrong with the way we sound when we see someone else talk like that? why is it when asians sound white, white folks dont view that as a caricature, but we do?

I think in anything it comes down to sincerity. If you went to a Shaolin temple talking some chingchong look at my eyes type sh*t you might lose your life. But if you showed respect and that you knew basic precepts they might take you on. And these ratchet Asian girls be showing a lot of sincerity
