The fight was absolutely pointless financially and competitively. GGG made a mil tho so props to the businessman. And Vanes been on his stoner shyt for two years and got paid as well.

Damn Cinco de Mayo is supposed to be the big fight weekend it's supposed to be plastered all over ESPN and you talked about it for days on end this shyt felt like a sparring match.

Empty seats terrible undercard awful opponent Canelo completely ruined my weekend

Did any of you all think the reason why this arena was so damn empty was because it was such an awful mismatch and Canelo completely took the steam out of the whole weekend a month ago?

I can tell you I mentally checked out of it when I found out. No credible middleweight title holder or contender was taking that fight with no training camp in 3 weeks notice

I mean Goddamn you fukked Triple G out of a damn 20 million dollar payday.

He screwed over everybody the airport's the hotels the casino his promoter the fans the bartenders the catering companies the bars sponsors advertisers every single person that had a stake financially in this fight he completely hosed over. Hector the hotel Bag Boy was going to make a nice cash out this weekend and could have got him a Tacate ring girl.

And I'm not even a Triple G fan like that. I'd be livid if I was him and then on top of that now you got to do it the same dude 4 months later just to get a payday again

He wasn't even screwed enough in advance to get a credible opponent in place.

i completely agree with you...cinco de mayo while a big fight weekend its not a consistent weekend for good/great fights...hell last years was one of the worst ive ever seen and that went the distance ...at least this shyt lasted 2 rounds...which means it can only get better going forward lol
