i would be surprised if it goes that long..brook's small shoulders should break within 4..or 5.

EDIT..

brook is a sound boxer and hopefully make it difficult for GGG to engage or land.
Brook will not look the same at 160, he will be slow and flat footed.

GGG might kill him.

fair enough

at the same time, GGG is at a dilemma cuz aint no one trying to fight him, and u cant even argue it

if u hang around gyms, and talk to actual trainers/managers, aint NO one puttin their prospects against him

and the only fighters that are challenging him (hint hint) are puttin in crazy things in contracts knowing that it will make it impossible to get the fight

i can see the hate for fighting brook (btw, brook been weighting more than GGG at these weigh ins lol)

but it was probably the only money fight he had, considering brooks pull in the UK

who do you propose he should have fought?
He called out everyone from 168-154...

Ward (168) and Lara (154) BOTH answered............. GGG and his team refused both.

Or... he could've accepted Canelo's offer, since he's B-side, but nah, he's a superstar (or at least that's what media tells us is true, so it must be so.... I mean, who else sold 23,343 hotdogs in one fight?)

While highly unlikely, I hope brook pulls off the huge upset as well as that English guy against Canelo. They both deserve to lose for not fighting each other.

It's been run back 1000 times on this board, but I'll give the short version. Canelo DID look bytch made with his "We're Mexicans we don't fukk around" then dropping the belt BS. HOWEVER, Canelo was never a full 160lb'er and didn't feel his body was ready for 160, thus he didn't force himself into it. Canelo typically fights at 155 or 157, depending on who he's fighting (IE who's the draw). In the Canelo/97g negotiations, Canelo is the A side. Hence, why should Canelo, the A side, be forced to move up to 160 full, just to fight 97g? This sport has a long long long history of dudes jumping up in weight or going down to prove they're with it, shyt Canelo did in 2013 when he weighted in at 152 to fight Floyd. Floyd did it when he fought Oscar in 07, B hop did it when he fought Oscar way back when, and Tito did it when he fought B-Hop (you can argue Joppy, but he went up FOR Hopkins). So we have a situation where someone who's never taken a risk in his career, making demands of the more popular fighter who has the 'juice', and the more popular fighter is just supposed to appease him? Albeit at a new weight class for the fighter with the juice? So Canelo dropped the belt, since he didn't feel ready to fight at the MW limit. And here we are. If you look back at this situation unbiased (which is damn near impossible, i'll admit I'm a bit biased towards cinnamon b/c of 97gs team, although I bought his PPV), how does Canelo look soft? The only thing I can think of is the "We're Mexican, we don't fukk around" line but besides that, I'm drawing a blank. Dude will fight ggg the small MW in a years time. We have to wait, such is life my breh.

Unified Middleweight World Champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin will defend his WBA, WBC, IBF and IBO Middleweight World titles against IBF Welterweight champion Kell Brook at The O2 in London on September 10, live on Sky Sports Box Office and Live on HBO World Championship Boxing®.

The two unbeaten stars collide in London with the US-based Kazakh KO king Golovkin stepping into the ring as a defending champion for the 16th time and looking to keep up his incredible knockout percentage – with 32 of his previous 35 fights ending early, including all of his World title outings and is ready to add to that run in his first fight in the UK.

“I’m very excited to be fighting in front of the great British boxing fans and promise another ‘Big Drama Show’ against undefeated Kell Brook,” said Golovkin. “I give him much respect for taking this fight.”

Most recently Golovkin has sold out famed venues in the United States, Madison Square Garden in New York City and The Fabulous Forum in Los Angeles.

On October 17, 2015 Golovkin knocked out IBF Middleweight World Champion David Lemieux at Madison Square Garden in front of 20,548 fans. Most recently, Golovkin stopped Undefeated Mandatory Challenger Dominic Wade on April 23, 2016 in the second round at the sold-out Fabulous Forum before a crowd of 16,353.

Brook – who will retain his status as IBF Welterweight champion – has been hunting a major fight since landing the World title, and the 30-year-old believes he has the tools to defeat Golovkin and become boxing’s biggest star.

“This is the fight and the moment I have been waiting for for some time,” said Brook. “We've tried and tried to lure the best to come and fight me and now we've got the best of the best – the number one pound for pound fighter in the world is coming to the UK."
