The most overblown thing in boxing right now has to be the hyping of Canelo's head movement. We see a few gifs of him ducking a punch from Young Angel and all of a sudden he's a defensive guru. Outside of the Young angel fight, when else has he shown that he's great defensively?

1. I'm talking about canelo right now not the 23 year old version that got schooled by Floyd


2. Even when he gets hit he rolls with the punches

i'm really interested in how brook is going to be built back up going forward after that injury..he will def need a couple of soft touches in 2017..before getting back in the mix

2. Soft touches til Canelo vacates that WBO 154...scoop up that belt...fight a liam Smith...wait on the 147 guys to move up N get those fights

I'm really down on Ginger right now. He had a chance to jack those belts and instead ran away from the fight. He basically, un-admittedly, went up to fight Young Angel for the payday knowing he wasn't tryna keep the strap. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a fighter getting paper. Like Jacobs said, it's called prizefighting not pride-fighting. But what was the point in calling Lil G to the ring if you wasn't ready to throw hands? That made no sense to me. We were supposed to be watching Lil G/Ginger this week, not Ginger/Random British Fighter.

Theres the disconnect canelo is one of the best boxers in the world. He clearly outboxed Lara who is top 15 p4p imo. Maybe I'm overating the boxing ability of canelo but I think from a talent standpoint he's the best boxer in the world outside of loma and dre

The fighter I am actually surprised Canelo doesn't get compared to more is JMM. Very good boxer, but wont be able to outbox the pure boxers. Speed is good, better than brawlers, but not at a pure boxers level. Chin seems good, but appears it can be gotten to. Power is solid and keeps opponents honest, but is truly at its best when counter punching.

That 850k was one of the best international ratings HBO has had in quite awhile. Apparently TV Azteca in Mexico did 1.5 milly and the other 100 countries it was shown in reported strong numbers as well.

Curious what the UK PPV will do. Heard that Hearn typically doesn't release his figures publicly like we are used to with American PPV's.
