I find it hilarious because it is a good troll job, but at the same time scary that a organizing body is playing favorites in the public. Not that we didn't know this or hadn't seen this before, but the outright blatantness. This was the major reason I was rooting for PBC to succeed on a big scale (other than selfishly wanting good fights) was because if PBC took over boxing it was our best chance to get rid of the organizing bodies and have a single system. shyt, now ESPN could invest a ton of money into boxing and force them to have a real organization, but they wont. And brehs were rooting for PBC to fail...
they do this with multiple champions of them though...I find it hilarious because it is a good troll job, but at the same time scary that a organizing body is playing favorites in the public. Canelo is going to win and win big.
Gennady Golovkin obviously is a very different fighter than Floyd Mayweather Jr., the one opponent who has beaten Canelo Alvarez.
It is the differences in himself, however, that Alvarez expects to help him handle the problems presented by the Kazakh knockout artist in their middleweight title fight September 16 in Las Vegas. The 27-year-old Alvarez is thankful for the experience he gained against Mayweather and believes he is a much better fighter than when he lost a majority decision to the undefeated five-division champion in September 2013.
“I definitely learned a lot,” Alvarez said through a translator during a conference call Tuesday. “I have more experience now. I feel more confident. I’m more of a mature fighter now. Obviously, not just that fight, but the fights that followed, got me to this point. But yes, I’ve changed, I learned from it and I just feel I’m more of a complete fighter now. I have more experience and the confidence is probably the one thing I can point out the most.”
Until I see otherwise, I think the 12 rounds Canelo spent in the ring with Floyd is the best tutelage he's ever received.
I don't know. Been feeling like the WBC (Mauricio Sulaiman) has been trolling Canelo for a while. He put this on his twitter and instagram awhile back:they do this with multiple champions of them though...
I actually don't think they are trolling Canelo with this
Breh he didn't learn a thing, all he learned was that ass whopping
It's sad this fight is getting less attention than McGreggor/Mayweather.
This should be as big or bigger than Trinidad/De La Hoya. But its not
The people promoting this fight need to be fired.
But at the end of the day a good ol black boxer vs. white boxer will always get attention in this country.
I wonder if they're waiting for the Floyd fight to kinda go away to start their big push. Will it be after Labor Day at this point? Gonna be tough regardless with CFB and NFL kicking off in that timeframe. It's sad this fight is getting less attention than McGreggor/Mayweather.
