80% of boxers are on something:yeshrug:

I don't know about a percentage but I think it's just one of those things at high levels of sports. Whether it's steroids, HGH, EPO, some new undetectable shyt, or others that aren't looked upon as negatively but has the same basic intent (taking something in the hopes you will perform better) like baseball players using speed or adderall....It sucks but I get the feeling it's just the way it is.

It does bother me more though for a sport like boxing. It's already dangerous enough as it is.

If Canelo was someone who had really good movement, could clinch, more authoritative jab than GGG, and was evenly sized or bigger I'd actually pick Canelo (who I admit has a bit of a speed advantage). But the more I look at this fight I see GGG dominating him with the jab which is gonna throw off a lot of Canelo's timing when he tries countering. I think the pace will be an issue too as we ALL know Canelo's gas tank isn't the greatest. I think Canelo's gonna look good early, landing some pretty looking combos but I think as the fight progresses he's gonna start to feel the brunt of the punishment and doesn't have the mobility needed to evade GGG's consistency. I think Nelo gets stopped in 9-10 rounds. Good Big Man Beats Good Little Man scenario.

Nicely put, I agree.

Teddy is a piece of shyt whose whole career was riding the coattails of either Cus and Rooney, Steward, or other trainers.

Yeah, I'm not too big on Atlas either, although he amuses me sometimes when he commentates and goes on these rants, or always has some random analogy. It's good that he speaks out against mismatches, but had no problem putting his own fighters in mismatches.

ATLAS STILL CAN'T GET OUT OF DODGE CITY - The Sweet Science

Atlas got this reputation as a great motivator, particularly after Moorer-Holyfield 1, but I just don't see the evidence of it. Not that Atlas didn't say the right things, but I watched the fight in full and after Atlas would plead with Moorer to fight harder and with more urgency, Moorer would go right out and do the same shyt. Jab Holyfield's face, and fight cautiously in general. He was cautious throughout the fight after being dropped in the 2nd round. Guys like Michael Moorer and Shannon Briggs gave more inspired performances with other trainers (Steward, Roach) than with Atlas.

Everyone bashed Aaron Snowell for his awful "tap water filled condom on the eye" method for Tyson against Douglas instead of having Enswell, or even just an ice pack, but he actually went on to do solid work afterwards.

Golovkin: I Need To Perform at My Best in Canelo Fight

BIG BEAR, CALIF. -- Boxing's No. 1 pound for pound superhero GENNADY "GGG" GOLOVKIN is back at The Summit Gym, head trainer Abel Sanchez's high altitude training complex in Big Bear, Calif., preparing for the biggest challenge to his world championship crown -- Canelo Alvarez! Golovkin, the 2017 ESPY Award Best Fighter nominee (his third consecutive nomination), came into training fit and fired up as he gears up for his long-awaited Las Vegas debut.

“Abel has new ideas for this fight – exciting ideas -- and I need to be my best to perform in the ring,” said Golovkin. “I don’t care about pound for pound. This is real. This is about being the champion of the world.”

“I was very happy with the first week Gennady spent in camp for basic conditioning,” said Sanchez. “The most difficult thing to do with Gennady is to hold him back. Starting slowly is just not in his vocabulary. Gennady has wanted this fight for so long. I can already tell he is going to pull out all stops in this training camp to be at his best on September 16. This is war.”

Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs), a native of Karaganda, Kazakhstan who now resides in Los Angeles, has reigned as a world middleweight champion since 2010. Throughout his seven-year championship tenure he has successfully defended his crown 18 times while unifying the WBC, WBA, IBF and IBO titles. Only one of those fights went the distance. He defends his titles against lineal and RING Magazine Middleweight World Champion and Mexican icon Canelo Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs).

Canelo vs. Golovkin is a 12-round fight for the middleweight championship of the world presented by Golden Boy Promotions and GGG Promotions and sponsored by Tecate, BORN BOLD, Hennessy, Never Stop, Never Settle, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Fred Loya Insurance, Tsesnabank and Capital Holdings.

The event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16 at soldout T-Mobile Arena and will be produced and distributed by HBO Pay-Per-View®.

Bhop talking about the fight...

Specifically little G's flatfooted telegraphed approach...

Breh triple g is not flat footed, he has good foot speed. Fighters like brook, Monroe, and Jacobs he was able to catch up with them.

Canelo on the other hand looked like a statue against Floyd, Lara, trout, and I'm sure I'm leaving others out.

Apparently this internet nikka knows more about boxing than Bernard Hopkins...:heh:

What Bhop pointed out about little G's approach is painfully obvious especially if you watched the Jacobs fight...

Keep thinking what Lara, Trout were able to do to a young Canelo has any relevance in this fight when little G fights absolutely nothing like them...Anybody that's a fan of this sport knows styles make fights...

Did you even listen to the interview?

He didn't even pick Canelo to win the fight but apparently he's biased for breaking down a fighters glaring flaws...:gucci:
U mentioned flat footed and I disagreed.

Let me guess, he didn't point out any flaws in canelo?

You're not disagreeing with me, you're disagreeing with a HOF champion and one of the greatest MW's of all time...

Listen to the interview and you'll get your answer and you might even learn something about boxing...
