The aura of this fight reminds me so much of the lead up to Tito vs BHop. The Young bull against the "aged" Veteran. Tito KO'ing Joppy and BHop not looking "great" against Holmes. The media, the fans, even some of the hardcore fans not giving BHop any chance. The fight to make Tito "A Legend". Then the bell rings...:francis: Tito finds out what it is to fight a skilled Middleweight with Middleweight experience. In this case with Canelo vs GGG, I see Canelo coming in having these dominant performances against Khan, Liam Smith, Chavez Jr where he looks like a Million Bucks but the substance of the opponents are :francis: . GGG on the other hand while isn't fighting "Names" has been fighting top ranked Middleweights on a more consistent basis and is coming off fighting the #1 ranked guy under him. While Canelo has finally moved up to 160 (a bit over due) I don't feel he's really acclimated himself to the weight in the sense of fighting other top level Middleweights before fighting the #1 in the Division (ala fighting a David Lemieux as prep leading into a GGG fight instead of Chavez Jr). I think people are HEAVILY over looking how undersized Canelo's gonna be against someone who is not just a big puncher but also a very experienced fighter dating back to his AM days. The experience that Canelo has over GGG is fighting under the "big lights". If Canelo was someone who had really good movement, could clinch, more authoritative jab than GGG, and was evenly sized or bigger I'd actually pick Canelo (who I admit has a bit of a speed advantage). But the more I look at this fight I see GGG dominating him with the jab which is gonna throw off a lot of Canelo's timing when he tries countering. I think the pace will be an issue too as we ALL know Canelo's gas tank isn't the greatest. I think Canelo's gonna look good early, landing some pretty looking combos but I think as the fight progresses he's gonna start to feel the brunt of the punishment and doesn't have the mobility needed to evade GGG's consistency. I think Nelo gets stopped in 9-10 rounds. Good Big Man Beats Good Little Man scenario.

What are the odds on this fight?:jbhmm:
Little g is the favorite at like -150. Canelo +130. In the betting world that's pretty much a pick em. Wouldn't be surprised if the odds end up dead even by fight night.

Right now I favor Canelo 75-25. I just think this fight is made for him. This isn't even no stan shyt. I just really think he's gonna box the shyt out of little g. Obviously with the type of power little g has, the fight can change with one punch. So Canelo can't afford to get careless or make many mistakes. But I'm expecting Canelo to solidify his elite status with this fight. And he gets better with every fight so there's no reason to believe that won't happen again with this one. We're gonna see the best version of Canelo ever in september. This is gonna be special.

I asked nikkas leading up to the kkkov fight who was on that "bbbbbut his power" shyt what has a higher chance to happen something that has NEVER happened (Canelo getting ko'd) or something that has already happened. ggg getting outboxed(Jacobs, Brook(at times). Canelo is better than both of those guys.

He won't get his props for this though ggg stans are the worst(not on the coli) "he knocks out light heavies/cruiserweights/heavyweights in sparring with 50oz gloves :birdman: to bbbbbut Jacobs was 5 lbs higher than ggg :damn: so what he made weight its not fair :to: " :camby: :camby:

We gonna hear Canelo waited till he got old etc when in reality ggg is the same ol ggg except that when he finally stepped up in comp they just show his deficiencies more than these trash bums that make up his resume.

On top of that, people keep talking about Canelo's stamina like little g fights at some crazy pace. Dude fights at the same pace as Canelo. About 50-60 punches per round. Jacobs basic boxing skills had this dude going long stretches without throwing any punches. Hesitant as fukk cause he was scared of what was coming back. Now what's gonna happen vs Canelo Who's stronger, faster, and more accurate than danny?.....little g won't even see most of these counter punches coming. He's gonna be hesitant to throw power punches by round 3. Then he's gonna try to rely on arm punches like kkkovalev was. And thats when Canelo is really gonna start to embarrass dude. Little g will gas out before Canelo does.

Canelo: Big Difference Between Me and The Guys Golovkin KO'd - Boxing News

Golovkin has often boasted of his "Mexican style" of fighting - which has helped him become a hit with the Mexican boxing fans, but Canelo plans to set the record straight on that matter when they meet in the ring.

"On September 16th, you will all see what the real Mexican style is," Canelo told BoxingScene.com.

:myman:

"There is a big difference [between me and them]. There is a big margin of difference between the opponents that he's faced and knocked out - and myself. And you will see that on September 16th. Obviously the opponents that are standing there right in front, willing to get hit and ready to get hit and putting their face [out there] to get hit - even a little kid can knock them out, and you will see that on September 16th," Canelo said.
