Breh....them dudes probably make enough money to be straight and actually don't give a damn about making more. Maybe these dudes wanted to plant a seed that is unseen in this selfish ass world. Maybe the young future businessmen will benefit from this gesture because of these two successful black men that got hit with everyday bullshyt that we as black people encounter on a basis. THese guys are smart and I hope they know what they are doing. I don't think some of you truly understand how corrupt the police force is. They could have sued the local govt and police department. They would have tried to dig up all kinds of skeletons,and harrass them and family possibly,intefere with their business. Unless you live a 100% clean lifestyle,along with everyone around you,this is probably the safer play as horrible as it is to say that. Plus once they find out you are clean they don't mind planting some evidence.But we all know what the cops do,and how they hate to lose. And police in certain cities are worst than others. These guys may be seeing picture here,and are looking to make more important connects than what that 200K can buy with this move.

Or they could be c00ns trying to "unite the city" who don't see color with this move. I truly don't know,but just based off this story it sounds good. Haven't seen them anywhere begging blacks to be nicer to cops,or blaming black people for our own harrasment.

Yall gotta realize they probably were not gonna get much if anything from the city anyway in a case like this. They were not beaten or brutalized and only spent a day in jail. False arrest cases are hard to win. The city would look bad though if it went to court even though they probably would win so this probably in the best interest of all parties. This was probably done in conjunction with starbucks paying these brothas a good amount money in a private settlement. The ceo already mentioned meeting with the police to figure it out prior.
