You're literally doing that when it comes to racism in the United states. Nowhere in any of my post did I claim that racism is non existent in Germany, you will never find a white country that isnt racist on some level.

The context of every post of mine in this thread is that no other country on this planet comes close to fukking with the United states when it comes to racism.

I can take every example you posted and compare it with the u.s. and it would make that shyt look light. What they consider far right, is center left in this country.

This whole theory that they are just jumping in to make America look bad is stupid as fukk, America does a fine job of looking bad by itself. The brutal racism in this country is appalling even to white countries around the world.

No I am not discounting them. The USA has legislation and protections that simply do not exist in Germany.

Germany is decades if not centuries behind the USA on racial issues.

America is no mystery to me because I speak English, most of my extended family is there and I have been coming there on and off since the age of 11.

My brother, aunts, cousins are americans.

I just spent x-mas in DC.

Read the asylum seeker example that I just posted in this thread. Post that welcome the country swung to the right and the AFD entered parliament.

Germany are the ultimate victims of White Guilt in regards to the Holocaust, that might be a reason there is less racism there than America and other parts of Europe I would guess( but I don’t know)

I think in terms of racism the Mediterranean countries are in a league of their own

Nope. There is less violence.

Racism in Germany is widespread. So widespread that Deutsche Bank refused to put an Indian in charge of the entire bank.

"Is Deutsche Bank really racist?

by Sarah Butcher 14 June 2011

Deutsche Bank's careers website states it plainly: "Join us and you'll become part of a culture that nurtures talent, embraces diversity and rewards outstanding performance."

If this is the case, why won't it appoint Anshu Jain as its chief executive?

As Jain's Investor Worksho made clear last week, Deutsche's corporate and investment bank - for which Jain is currently responsible - has done very well in recent years, gaining share in most all market areas (with the notable exception of Asian investment grade DCM) so that it occupies a top three or five position in almost all the markets in which it operates.

Why, therefore, can't Jain be like Bob Diamond - Bob who also started out as chief executive of the investment bank and now manages the whole show over at Barclays?

People are positing something sounding very much like racism.

Today's New York Times cites Lutz Roehmeyer, a large Deutsche shareholder and portfolio manager at LBB Invest in Berlin as saying:

"In Germany, no one can imagine an Indian working in London who does not speak German being the CEO of Deutsche Bank.""

Is Deutsche Bank really racist?
-

Meanwhile in the USA you have Google, Microsoft, Oracle headed by Indians and no one blinks.

This is the problem if you think speaking English and visiting once in a while is a good enough to experience American racism.

If you didnt grow up under the system of white supremacy in this country then you wouldn't understand.

For those interested, I found this book to be really informative about the black experience in Germany.

It's called Destined to Witness.
174951_1307165552_Width288.jpg

In his 1999 autobiography the author, former managing editor of Ebony, tells the story of his growing up in Hamburg. He was born in 1926 as son of a German mother and a Liberian law student, the only independent black African state at that time apart from Ethiopia. His grandfather was the Liberian consul-general to Hamburg. When his father and grandfather went back to Liberia in 1929, his mother decided to stay in Germany. She made her living working as a nurse, and she and the little boy had to move from the elegant villa to a modest cold-water apartment in the workers’ quarter Barmbek. He was shunned but was never a target of Nazi persecution like Jews and Roma were. He was rebuffed when he applied for membership in the Hitler Jugend (Hitler Youth), while every young male Aryan German was obliged to be a member. Because he was underweight, he was not drafted to join the German Army.[

Oh yeah I understand.

I'll say it again. My aunts (2), my cousins(many), my brother are American citizens. Most of my extended family is American.

I do not visit "once in a while". I will be moving to the USA eventually. My previous visit to that was Sept 2019 - Oct 2019 and I spent 1 month there.

If it wasn't for lockdown (and the virus) I would be there now. Or let's put in another way if not for lockdown I would have spent 50% of the last 8 months there at least.

see  https://www.thecoli.com/posts/37844337/ .

I do not have to "understand the fullness of white supremacy" to understand that in the USA the brothaman has more opportunities than in Germany.

This is it right here. Once the whole world is looking at the US with disgust and their international image is being threatened, that's when the government actually acts with some common sense. You cant exercise soft power and expect to be an influencer when you dont even live up to the values you try to preach to other people.
The soft power ship sailed moments after Trump took office :yeshrug:
