I always wonder how they get recruits.like what would make Demayrius Thomas and Calvin Johnson go there?

They were Chan Gailey recruits. With Calvin, his parents valued the education.

With Whisenhunt being an alum knowing the academic rigors but also having nfl coaching experience, I'm thinking it could work if he takes the job

Idk about BeyBey but Calvin Johnson is from Tyrone GA..not too far from Atlanta. I stay near there & it’s a really good area. Parents really push education, and the county it’s in is one of the few in GA where you will see more Tech stickers and flags than UGA stuff. A lot of Tech grads who are pilots, doctors & engineers stay in that area

Yeah, I live in Southampton right behind the Publix there in Tyrone. Chris Webber lives here too as I've seen him a few times in the grocery store.

Im a black engineer that lives in tyrone. It's pretty mixed here and the people here have a upper middle class income. The high school Calvin Johnson went to, Sandy Creek is 70% black. Now if you go down 3 miles to Peachtree city it turns white pretty damn fast.

This area is HEAVY Auburn too.

What's the demographics of the area? If it's a lot of black that sounds like a good district

It is. Lots of black excellence here, but still majority cac.

It's close proximity to the airport (especially for my job where I travel 80%) is great for me too. Plus it's one of the least congested areas of metro Atlanta

Lol nah it’s majority white. I think it’s 70% white.

The blacks who stay there are well off tho..there was a thread made on here a few months back about the counties in America with the most wealthy black families & Fayette County GA was on the list.

The whole county has golf cart trails going through it so, so a lot of parents let their kids get around by driving those. They have golf cart parking lots at the Walmart & high schools.

If you want somewhere quiet it’s a cool spot to live. I wouldn’t want my future kids going to a majority white school tho but that’s just me

Peachtree City is where you get the golf carts going through the whole area. We have a few paths in Tyrone but it is nowhere in the stratosphere of what they have in Peachtree City. It's mostly along two roads in Tyrone whereas in PTC its interwoven throughout the entire city limits and neighborhoods. Fayetteville has like a similar setup as us in Tyrone where the golf cart paths are along like two or three roads

I used to go to school with Megatron. What's crazy is we are close to the same height, with the same speed and vertical, probably the same weight but that's where the comparisons end.
