I could see something like this happening. The story I read said that he was going through the mats trying to retrieve a shoe. He probably thought he could reach down and grab the shoe and then pull himself back up. Those mats are heavy as hell and could muffle screams easily.

When you factor in the corrupted town and the fact that he randomly decided to go grab a shoe from a wrestling mat in between classes, then the story does seem shady as hell. Either way, it's a horrifc way to die. R.I.P bro.

This happened in my hometown. Allegedly the sheriffs son has a part in it all. It's so many stories out there tho. I know they've been protesting weekly at city hall. But that's Valdosta for you. That place is ran by old money like the Langdales and stuff. Hell, the former sheriff was the towns biggest dope dealer. Dude stays on an estate that's waaaaaay out of small town sheriffs salary. Went to school with his daughter at Lowndes. She'd have to catch a ride from the house to the street to catch the bus. You tell me, how does a sheriff by an entire project complex? Or a cat that was deep in the game get his house raided and while they burst into the back of the home, he walks out the front pass deputies. That's why I don't ever go back. White folks run that pos place and nikkas are satisfied with just hustling and being country rich. Plus I got my car torn apart during a search because I had out of state tags and was hanging around some notorious dope boys in town. They was just my people's I grew up with and nothing more to it.
