:damn: a friend of mine had a boat and it was on this lake. We went down to the A once and got on it but it never left land because it was a baby shower. I didn’t know about the history of the lake until recently. I’m :whew: when I read about all the craziness now.

Yes, I would assume the ghosts would only want smoke with whites/ non black people. So I should be good:manny:.

The idea of ghosts is so silly to me

There have been exponentially more people who have died on earth than those living now. If ghost were a thing literally every corner of the planet would be haunted to some degree. Muthafukkas have died EVERYWHERE

I still work by the lake. It’s not haunted, but I hope everyone is reading these drowning stories and learning from them.

I’m sitting here looking at the constantly updated lake level, in the area I’m in. It’s currently 1,063 ft, and this isn’t the deepest point of what used to be a large valley.

Do NOT go swimming in rivers and lakes without floatation devices, also don’t swim/boat/jet ski drunk. This is the reason for virtually all of lake laniers deaths (outside of parking accidents and some suicides).

Also make sure you aren’t alone to the point of no one being able to hear you being in trouble.

Be extremely careful about where you swim. There’s still a city and a forest under the lake. It’s full of old debris that can easily hurt you or drag you under. It’s even worse during drought conditions.
