There was never enough evidence to convict, just emotionally compelling stuff to incite the public.:heh:

The right verdict was reached...:smugbiden:

Ehh, there was enough to nail him on the manslaughter charge. They just didn't do it properly/have a jury that was receptive to the argument.

Debatable when you actually look at what the law states. The Stand Your Ground law here in Florida is pretty ambiguous for such an important law. That's my main case with this entire tragedy. It needs to be modified to explicitly detail that the aggressor or instigator shouldn't be allowed to claim self defense if it can be proved he made the shooting unavoidable a la Zimmerman.

Wasn't enough evidence because the police department didn't arrest Zimmerman or do any actual police work.

I rarely spout my world views on here because I don't think Facebook is the right forum for that because noone really wants to look at that bollocks on here but the Trayvon Martin case verdict has touched a nerve with me. The fact you can freely walk around killing black folk in borad daylight for no apparent reason other than the belief that he didn't belong in the area that he was walking in (although that's the area his father lived in and was why he was there) AFTER you'd told not to pursue him by the authorities and still get off scott free only works to reaffirm thoughts that the world for a black male is asymmetrical and it is better to be cautious and cynical to the unknown human beings that you come into direct contact with than optimistic and welcoming. R.I.P. Trayvon Martin

what I wrote on facebook

even though I'm not American, on a black man level of thinking, this shyt is burning me...you could say I got ether'd by the verdict smh

I thought Zimmerman was cooked but After watching some of the case and the closing arguments
I knew Zimmerman was going to get off. The prosecution did a terrible job making a case,
maybe the fix was in because Zimmerman father is a judge.
But they never refuted any of the points the defense made
a lie unchallenged stands as the truth

Only thing the Martin's can do his hire a competent lawyer for a Wrongful Death suit
which I think they can win.

But this a lesson for a lot nikkaz out here
You can't just fight whoever, because they might be strapped
It's best to avoid confrontation if possible

Prosecution did a terrible job, not questioning Zimmerman's character or bringing up his past. The fact that his gunshot was Center Mass, tells a lot for me.
I'm pretty sure Trayvon was standing in front of him when he was shot
he damn sure wasn't bashing his head on concrete, because none of his wounds reflect that type of impact.

Prosecution threw the case with weak arguments bottomline

I'm still in shock as to how most smart people on the coli actually thought this man would be convicted based on the evidence.

Throw emotion aside and look at the evidence, It was quite clear he would walk.

The prosecution star witness set the tone and the rest followed.
