The AAU part, a lot of these coaches can't stand the NBA players that came up that way. He's not alone in that. Sometimes coaches just assume you're basketball retarded if you came from that system and try to rebuild how you play basketball.

I'm a melo Stan but this is a serious question :,we've seen melo win in college , we've seen him in thr Olympics doing all the things Karl said he won't do,his peers all respect him ,he was being an ambassador at the previous Olympics, we've seen him trying to positively effect the world . Melo played better d pretty much once Dantoni left . So is it possible the coaching of Karl is to blame ?? His nonsonic teams as far as I can see aren't Some defensive juggernauts.
Maybe Karl just isn't as good a coach as he thinks and if this is mindset that players are fatherless and aren't men therefore they can't learn maybr that's why he couldn't reach them. Woodson was able to reach melo , so was his Olympics coaches

I pride myself on trying to be a powerful black man. On this topic I dealt with just Melo and didn't make myself clear on the bigoted shyt that was being said about him..

Your completely giving Karl a pass though aNd saying oh they refused to be coached . He's the coach his job is to either get players to play with his system or adapt . He had a perennial playoff team once melo got there . And coaching literally cost them that series vs the lakers. He was happy to see melo go? Yet who won more playoff series since melo left ? Who got fired twice ? Karl Pretty much showed why he couldn't reach those players with that fatherless so they never knew to be men comment . That should make everyone say ohhh that's why players don't get along with Karl .

I don't see how coaching cost them against the lakers. They blew a chance to go up 2-0 because of late turnovers. Also melo struggled shooting if I remember correctly. I don't think he was happy to see melo go, just frustrated with dude and happy not to deal with it. He always wanted more flow to the offense and melo is a ball stopper (still is). That's also why AI didn't fit. thus far no one has been able to get melo to adapt. He's still getting the same criticisms as a ball stopper no matter who has coached him. So why blame Karl for that? Obvious melo doesn't see a problem with the way he plays so hes not going to change for anyone. It's not like you can bench him.

Yeah I agree he was not coming from a genuine place and he is probably going the Phil Jackson route like you alluded to sell books.. Karl has been a suspect coach for years. On some basketball shyt I wanted more for Melo though.
