DC is like maybe 75-80% of what it costs to live in New York. It doesn't make sense for me to live here, even with the job opportunities. You'll especially find out how overpriced it is when you start searching for houses. I'd rather be in Chicago or Philly, which are great cities in their own right but, like half the cost.
