23/33 for 275 2 TD 0 INT
If this is considered a bad game for Geno holy hell the standards have become high
This is disingenuous

He was awful in the first half and the Bucs went to a shell defense in the second and that's where he picked up easy yards

He had a really bad game and was the reason they lost

Lot of bad decisions and throws. Really poor game, management wise too. Delay of game penalties, poor pocket awareness leading to drive killing sacks etc etc

His fumble was classic Geno and the deciding factor in the game

He was bad when it mattered most

Games like this are why he couldn't find a starting job after being given every opportunity to prove himself early in his career

Let's not sugar coat and post emotionally like some other ppl in this thread

He was objectively bad and lost his team the game after being given every opportunity to win by the rest of the team

Whats emotional is using one game to say “thats it! This is who he is”

Trash posting. You literally couldnt wait for him to have one struggle game to say “see!!” :camby:

Emotional posting

You're not willing to be objective and critically honest because it hurts your feelings

Definition of trash posting.

Where is the lie? You had all season and a gang of games to post “thisnis who he is” And you wait for one bad game in the 10th game of the season to say You proved your point?

You seem thirsty

This is disingenuous

He was awful in the first half

He was bad in the first half but 80% of the reason they weren't moving the chains was on the run game. I think three different drives stalled cause they ran the first two downs and got nothing, plus maybe a penalty, so then Geno has to throw on 3rd-and-12 when the defense knows what's coming. Another drive stalled cause rb lost yards on 3rd-and-1. Only one stop was solely on him.

and the Bucs went to a shell defense in the second and that's where he picked up easy yards

Second half they marched down the field every drive. You're talking bullshyt calling it "easy yards" when the game was in the balance the whole time. FG, goalline fumble, TD, TD, and gave the defense 4 minutes on the clock to get a damn stop but they couldn't do it.

He had a really bad game and was the reason they lost

You're clearly just hating if that's what you got from this game. It was below average but it wasn't that bad. Second half was good outside one fumble (which only cost 3 points, so that wasn't ballgame by itself), so it was basically one baad half in an otherwise great season.

Lot of bad decisions and throws. Really poor game, management wise too. Delay of game penalties, poor pocket awareness leading to drive killing sacks etc etc

The only "drive-killing sack" was on 3rd-and-10 when the defense could tee up on him with packed coverage deep. And it wasn't poor pocket awareness, it collapsed on both sides and he tried to get out of there but just got chased down, there was just nowhere to go with it.

There is nothing to suggest the bubble has burst on Geno smith. He had game that while it wasn't his best, he avoided turnovers and tried to win when the Seahawks running game was not moving the sticks.
