Man, this country is fukking finished. I never read comments, but I read the Twitter/X comments on Harvard’s response to our current dictatorship, and wow. The amount of people who are okay with Trump going way beyond his executive powers, this dictator shyt he’s on, “well, no federal funding for you,” etc. 
. It shouldn’t have shocked me, but it did.
I don’t know how we fix this amount of broken ass people and return to some sense of normalcy. They really have a belief that white people have been persecuted in society and Trump is righting wrongs.

There’s only three options I can think of.
One is a unicorn level candidate that could somehow unite everyone.
Two, Trump has to be so bad that people’s allegiances fray and a lot of people leave the cult.
Three, civil war.
Well you need to factor in you're on Musk's website reading comments. Twitter always had bots but since Elon's using it as a propaganda tool the problem's bigger than it's ever been. There's 10x more messages from accounts than real users sending messages if that makes you feel betterMan, this country is fukking finished. At the same time something happened recently with a 55+ female repeating verbatim the textbook talking points, accused her family of censoring her and left the house to walk to her home in another state and kill herself.
A lot of people are gone and you aren't getting them back, on the other hand, you aren't seeing the fight people are putting up because they don't want you getting any ideas. More people dislike Trump & Elon than think they're right, way more. Ask Target how people feel about what they did with DEI
Yeah, I feel you. I gotta hope the fervor continues to grow. This shyt is not sustainable. I’m at Rice right now and we‘ve been protesting and being vocal, but Rice is a small university (less than 5k students).
I’ve been forecasting a lot into the future recently, and one day I’m going to have kids and grandkids. If they ask me what I did during this maelstrom, I don’t think, “I was in grad school,” is a sufficient answer. People are scared, though. Our faculty are scared, students on visas are scared, and so on.
