This sounds most reasonable to me. The Recession is coming has been beaten and then forgotten and repeat since 2022. I remember all this. People from the left are latching onto anything that is:

A) confirms that Trump will "tank the economy:

B) will make his voters look stupid and or regretful

C) of course the right has their own bullshyt on this subject

D) My theory is that social media, extreme partisanship by highly visible social media players and content driven algorithims are driving almost all of this

E) Someone tweets something, a data point, a study, a whatever, and then people use it as confirmation, and it goes viral.

F) This is a horrible horrible political strategy and essentially like doubling down on 2016/2017

Wait. So you can call for reforms that are costing us votes, but I’m posting republican talking points for posting views that help us win elections?
You calling for democrats to reform by moving the Overton window to the right, you're a conservative/republican and that's ok

So just to make sure I'm following this correctly, we should ignore the people who get paid to analyze and report about the economy like economists, we should ignore the definition of a recession of 2 quarters having negative results in a row with this quarter being one of the worst in history, ignore the wealth management people and wall st raising red flags, ignore that this behavior the administration has been participating in was written in project 2025, ignore the layoffs and fallout from it etc, but take your word and this opinion piece that this is all social media and "both sides" are overreacting?

-We make it 2028 but trump refuses to allow a primary and says he may delay the election because dems are rigging it or insert some other excuse. He will do his best to muck up the election so bad no one knows who won.
we have to stop with this bullshyt. he's a fat, obese 80 year old, who might not even have enough orange facepaint to make it to 2028. trump is not trying to stay in power past this term; he's not physically able. and think about how susceptible he'll be to the aging and diaper jokes, like they made about biden

if trump was 60 years old, then i might be a little more worried about this
