“There are two data points that I wanna point out that should give everybody pause,” Bakaj said. “The first thing, what Dan witnessed was that within 15 minutes of DOGE employees creating user accounts, i.e. Usernames and passwords, within 15 minutes of those accounts being created, somebody or something from Russia tried to log in with the right username and right passwords — that is to say — the right credentials. And that happened over 20 times.”

“The second data point, which is really critical, is that DOGE has also been using Starlink as a means to exfiltrate data,” he continued. “What that means is that, from our understanding, Russia has a direct pipeline of information through Starlink, which means that anything going through Starlink is going to Russia.”

“We also know that this is not unique to the NLRB,” he said. “This is happening government-wide. And then the other thing that I wanted to flag for everybody is that right now that, I don’t want to say that this is intentional, it could very well have been a mistake, is that critical infrastructure databases and many government agencies, as we understand it, have been exposed to the open internet, which includes critical databases at the Department of Energy, which includes a lot of our nuclear regulatory agency material.”

“So right now the real concern is that this not unlike Chernobyl,” he concluded. “And all of the control panels lighting up after the meltdown. This is serious and I just wanna commend Dan for coming forward to bring this to everybody’s attention because this really is the tip of the iceberg.”

Algorithms just tapping into whatever was already there.. this been brewing for a while. Throw in online dating apps, cost of living, single women’s income has exceeded single men’s income for the first time in history. I cannot think of a more perfect storm for this outcome. As the grip tightened liberals starting turning on themselves and punished each other for perceived lack of wokeness, inherently pushing the maligned parties towards the right. I saw endless posts on Reddit and social media by liberal women saying they were going to go on “p*ssy” strikes to punish conservatives, despite the fact that most folks date within their own political sphere which again—hurts and further alienates liberal men. I’ve gotten older but I have 100% been pushed to the center to varying degrees because of some of this nonsense. God, just a few years ago I recall arguing online with people who claimed that Albert Einstein hated women and was an abuser AND that his first wife was the ghostwriter of all of his theories. I was told that I was an incel for correcting their misperceptions. The pendulum always swings back but I hope it doesn’t go too far.
You’re far too online. Yes, I can agree that Democrats were patronizing and annoying but none of the shyt you’re talking about has anything to do with what has happened politically. Liberals in real life voted Democrat at the same rates as they always have. What people couldn’t handle was marginalized groups having a voice and when that happens people aren’t always articulate and people let randos on the internet define entire movements. And by people I’m talking the young gen z incel crowd and the Bill Maher crowd. What you’re taking about is the equivalent of arguing with your daughter who is a college freshman. Besides them, Democrats just failed to ride the wave of progressivism and anti establishment in 2016 because they were the incumbent party. When people are afraid for their futures and talks of economic inequality are en vogue - saying “this will never happen” and that “things are good what are you talking about” wasn’t a great strategy. That led to the low turnout that empowered Trump and changed the course of history. Basically an unforced error by democratic politicians and voters who both underestimated Trump.

Following that Republicans aligned with big tech and fed the public propaganda and here we are.

This is the scary part. Man caters the economy but he is still loved and respected. Can't wrap my head around it.

Only conclusion I can come to is that Americans want this.

The sentiment on brexit changed in a few months when the UK saw the reality of what it meant. US folks elected this man a second time and STILL believe in him. There is some resentment/anger somewhere that runs really deep.

Sometimes the simple answer is the correct one even if it's depressing.

At the end of the day it goes back to Obama. A lot of people did NOT take having a black president well, started to believe "they" were under attack and became increasingly radicalized over that period. Keep in mind that bashing Obama and making up nonsense about his birth certificate made Trump popular enough to get elected twice.

pretty much. Some people thought racism was over, other people were scared white supremacy was over and acted accordingly
