The Deep State
Dems ran a man last election and he had to bow out like a coward with 100 days left. Man or woman isn't the problem, the problem is the DNC manipulating elections undemocratically for front runners unlike the GOP. GOP tried to effectively kill trump, but they realized that it would split the party if they fought against his movement. So they decided to let the voters decide. Ken Martin seems significantly better than the jaime Harrisons of the world so I hope he's better on this front.
tell me. In detail. How the democrats manipulate elections.

let me guess; you'll also be going into the 2028 primary claiming "progressives win, or it was stolen"?

Centrist Voltron :wow: can't stop, won't stop

No, she didn't. You people are always posting these garbage right-wing accounts that deliberately twist the message and crop clips to erase the full context of what's being said.

Awful thread title. The title of that Yahoo article is awful too.

Framed by Whitmer as a “blueprint for success,” her lengthy “Build, America, Build” address called for bipartisan cooperation to boost American manufacturing. While she offered soft criticism of the president, she also underscored shared priorities.

“I understand the motivation behind the tariffs, and I can tell you, here’s where President Trump and I do agree. We do need to make more stuff in America,” said Whitmer, before adding, “I’m not against tariffs outright, but it is a blunt tool. You can’t just pull out the tariff hammer to swing at every problem without a clear defined end-goal.

Her take on tariffs is exactly right. She's not siding with Trump on trade policy either, she's recognizing that while tariffs *can* play a role in boosting American manufacturing, they're just one piece of a much bigger puzzle. Her emphasis on needing a clear, defined end-goal and pairing tariffs with broader domestic policy, like investing in industry, workers, and supply chains, is the right approach. That's something Trump doesn't acknowledge or have a plan for. He just thinks corporate tax cuts and tariffs is the magical fix. There's no plan behind it, no follow-through, just bluster. Her framing makes it clear that she understands the tools, and how to use them effectively.

No i wouldn't, however voters would feel that way and republicans will rightfully point out how it was undemocratic unlike their primaries.
