The thing trump/republicans (biden and dems didn't either) don't understand is that the cost of living has significantly increased over the last 5 or so years. A career making 100k now from a cpi perspective feels closer to 60k compared to what 100k was back then. Autoloans and car prices for example have damn near doubled and trump's about to raise the prices even further with tarrifs
. Auto companies have pretty much eliminated all entry level models, new cars under 20k is no longer a thing anymore. Tbh I'm not entirely sure how to fix this, but it's absolutely a concern that both parties should take seriously. Until the ealth income gap is fixed both parties will continue to flip back and forth when it comes to power.
