So your argument is he's a cia off the record contact that now has leaked "classified" information that now puts his contact luxury in jeopardy? Alright man lol.
You could simply just admit you were wrong and he should have followed his initial journalist duties which is investigating and releasing information. He did his job now we can move on
I believe Goldberg, like many journalists gets stuff on background and basically had to blow that contact line up to expose this bombshell story.
He clearly has contacts in the national security establishment but this accident allowed him to run a Pick 6 to the end zone
As an investigative journalist he absolutely does have contacts that allows him to provide off the record information; However what we were discussing is an entirely different conversation, their wasn't an "asset" he was protecting or a source he was invited to a national security conversation as an unvetted source. As a Journalistic scribe he has ethics and standards with underlying principles of ethics and good practice to uphold. When it comes to providing such information as a professional journalist, it's within his duties to associations broadcast and provide the information he had as soon as possible due to that integrity. It's why everyone was upset with him, I could care less about the idf cia etc, he's either a investigative journalist or not

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said Wednesday that four U.S. soldiers who went missing while training in Lithuania have died, but that he did not yet know the details.
A U.S. official would say only that the four soldiers were involved in a training accident. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, would not comment on the status of the soldiers.
Rutte said during a trip to Warsaw that he had received word of the deaths of the four soldiers and that his thoughts were with their families and with the United States.
“This is still early news so we do not know the details. This is really terrible news and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones,” Rutte told reporters in Warsaw.
A statement from U.S. Army Europe and Africa public affairs in Wiesbaden, Germany said the soldiers were conducting scheduled tactical training at the time.
Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT reported that four U.S. soldiers and vehicle were reported missing Tuesday afternoon during an exercise at the General Silvestras Žukauskas training ground in Pabradė, a town located less than 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the border with Belarus.
