I think that’s the only believable thing he said. Based on his posts he clearly isn’t black American. He may be black, but is not from here. He has some underlying shame about his origin which probably leads to a lot of his defensive trolling. Additionally him being so wrong about Trump years ago and defending him amongst actual black Americans has led to him over compensating in the present day and masquerading as a progressive intellectual activist.

.Either way, at the end of the day he’s at best the Children of African immigrants who moved to the UK during the civil rights era and then chose to move to America during peak neoliberalism and Trumpism.
