Insinuating the protests were aligned with hostile foreign regimes surely legitimizes punishing the school for allowing malign foreign influence on their campus.

That isn't accurate, Hamas and their allies are calling for the destruction of Israel, its people, and launching attacks to achieve that goal. That's also the goal of the protests. Ignoring that is what is truly duplicitous and morally bankrupt.

Again, painting the protests as aiming for the destruction of Israel, its people and launching attacks to achieve that goal is pretty strong corroborating evidence for the Trump administration's actions taken under the guise of protecting jewish students.

I have a hard time buying these are students at this point
