On one hand, I see it as a lack of situational awareness and poor judgement to take part in a controversial protest such as the Gaza campus protests while on a temporary visa, especially if you care about staying to achieve whatever aims you’re here for.
On the other hand, the precedent this sets doesn’t portend well. I have no love for Hamas, but I ask myself would I have supported this if these were foreign students getting their visas revoked in the 60s for protesting with civil rights activists?
