Most of these management positions are just glorified adult daycare workers. That's why people were sweating RTO so much. If the workers can do their work without supervision, people are going to start asking, "well what am I paying you for?".
Musk doesn't really do shyt other than spew some half-baked idea, and flows it down to the engineers to actualize it into reality. Fact is, the guy ain't some engineer/businessman prodigy like people say he is. The Twitter deal and all of the government subsidized ventures showed that. He ain't Iron Man. The most he might do is look at a presentation of the work that was done by other people and give it a yay or nay. Compared to the manual labor it takes to assemble his rockets or the mental energy it takes to brainstorm how to make it, his workload is nothing.
