elon charging for twitter api access means all the bots posting about bus/train schedules and delays are going to die.
I have no doubt no he's gonna ip ban and employ instagram/facebook tactics to ban Nitter instances.

It wasn't hard I'll say that
the network effect for twitter was crazy because it's the closest thing to a proprietary RSS feed. people didn't have to install a dozen+ apps to be updated about things if they didn't want to. they could follow hundreds or thousands bots sending them alters in the form of tweets and they could comment on it with other users.
I used these periodically around holidays and major weather events.
they'll likely be shut down too.

im still banned on twitter enough of this nonsense.i didn't use the twitter app, rss on one or two laptops and bookmarked on desktop.
it's an official bot by NYC Department of Transportation.. easier to just suggest they make a mastodon account.
I don't want to use email updates.
