all 23 million miles of useful land
I think deep down, Puff knew, or someone told him Big was looking to bounce from bad boy and puff...
puff knew if it was true, big was more valuable dead to him.
why else was puff acting weird that night... not leaving the scene ASAP, and hanging around as if he was waiting/looking for someone.

I said it then and I still say it now regardless of what anybody say - with how deep rappers used to roll then if the 1 main dude security supposed to be protecting in the whole crew is the only one getting touched then their own peoples must've had something to do with it

Pac & Biggie were the first time in rap where a rapper at the top of the game was murdered, especially in public. That's when people realized the power of their words and that they had to move smarter because they were vulnerable. They made everybody step up their security.

"Pac and Biggie taught me a lesson/ What? Never leave without your Smith & Wessun" - Master P on "Let's Get Em"

The way Puffy was acting then is no different from any young college party promoter that you may know. Now imagine that same young party promoter with power & millions and you have a spoiled brat that doesn't believe fat meat is greasy. Him & Lil Cease especially were young dudes who didn't fully realize the danger they were in. D-Roc was the only one that had any OG street sense.

I remember Maino before saying D-Roc was the only one in their camp (Junior Mafia) that was really in the streets heavy like that. The rest were just doing petty shyt like selling little drugs here and there, but more kiddie shyt. They wasn't built for that kinda combat.

nikka hates jayz with a passion. Did you see the video where he claims he could have bagged Beyonce? :russ:

Yeah. As soon as he said it I was likeView media item 7470
Dude is delusional as it gets. Talking about Nick Cannon was hating on him.:duck:

Only reason why I watch him every now & then is because some of his fib stories do be entertaining.:ehh:

Cease was just 19 when

I wouldn't call it hate. Imagine somebody dying on your watch after you warned them and then the main survivor lies about what happened for 20 years.
he also failed many times, as i said earlier , hes a would of could of type o guy

how many warnings did he receive from his "friends"

the guy in the bow tie walked up to the car and turned around - and he let that go!?

he was about to approach dj quik but his friend came and said "lets goo!:krs:":duck:

I could go on.....

Hindsight is 50/50. Where here critiquing 20 years later with examples to learn from. Hip-hop had none then so they were learning on the go.

He can't go crazy on every single individual, but he did make note of the NOI looking guy and made others aware. Remember he even offered to ride on the side of the Tahoe but Puff nixed that idea. Until you are with a famous rapper in a public appearance, it's hard to understand how many risks there are. When you're in public and everybody knows ya'll and you don't know their intentions, that's a scary situation.

Having somebody die on your watch is one of the most traumatic things and people will always second guess themselves. Yeah to us the NOI guy is a red flag, but at the time he didn't warrant immediate red flags.

Gene knew proper procedures but Puffy aka his boss had the final override.
