Gene is just a hater. Puffy didn’t take anyone’s publishing. They sold it to him. How many artists got their publishing from Lyror or Jimmy? Why are black CEOs judged different.
Because when said black CEO talks about his company being family and is always saying something about black economics, he's not supposed to be doing the same as the "white devils", who do not get treated differently...

Maybe bc you shouldn't cheat your own people, who you call "family".

We hoped to get out own labels and power so as to not get cheated by white execs...only to have a Black exec fighting to do the same cheating
And they aren't even judged differently...nobody here likes Jimmy or Lyor...

He's not, he gave them their publishing back. Did Lyor or Jimmy do that?

OMG, this is just naive shyt. Tell me when artists have ever felt an exec treated them fairly? You got Mark Curry out here asking for a million dollars. On what planet does he deserve that for his Bad Boy contributions? They're delusional and won't feel ' 'cheated' unless they are insanely compensated.
Bad thing about the music business is no artist is happy just making a living. They all think they deserve to be rich and famous.

After 20 years when it likely isn't worth anywhere near what they could've earned at it's peak? Sure.

Did Lyor and Jimmy appeal to their likeness as Black men or express the importance of Black economics?
Answer my question first then I'll answer yours. lol

Whose publishing did they give back? Or did they give back any? Be more straight forward please.
Which artists did they say would be treated like family, based on culture? Which time did they reference Black economics as important? Be clear, sir.

We can do this back and forth shìt for 200 years...we know the answer to each other's question.

We also know one side has a bit extra context that the individual in question positioned himself to be judged by. The two execs brought up for whataboutism, did not.

Mark Curry may feel cheated. Maybe he wrote stuff he didn't get publishing for. Maybe he did multiple things he feels owed. I was never a fan, but I don't know his facts

Maybe Diddy should be upfront and say "I'm taking all your publishing if you sign with me" but nah, he's not gonna have the courage to do that....sounds like you don't have it either.

And I don't even hate Diddy like that, but you can't portray this family image on camera and to the public, then behind closed doors be cheating your ppl just like the white exec.

Just act like the white exec, and stop using your blackness to get ppl to sign with you only so you can have the chance to cheat them.

I don't think you know the answer to my question since you won't answer.
So again, I'll answer your question when you answer mine.
