Dude, I was just listening to Little Richard's old drummer on the radio a few days ago and he was talking about how guys like Little Richard and them used to have to emasculate themselves and act "feminine" in order to even be able to make a living as musicians back in the day, because a Black man wouldn't be able to be seen as passive to CACs in order to make it, hence Little Richard's feminine tendencies.
