The 80s was a different day in boxing though breh.

Look at Andre Ward and Guillermo Rigondeaux.....both extremely talented boxers that I stan, but neither of them can draw viewers or are as known to the public as Adrien Broner is.[/QUOTE

was pacman ever considered a "bad guy" when he was really poppin.

seems like black fighters have to take that role most of the time.....

You could've just posted this in the other thread you made:manny:

Gary Russell Jr would love to be in the position that Adrien Broner is right now. I dont take people serious when they would do they same thing, if they could make the same thing:camby:

@hyperman25

Exactly, we ALWAYS have to play a role in order to get noticed. Take it all the way back to Jack Johnson.....the loud, flashy, arrogant, cocky, confident, shyt talking black boxer was ALWAYS famous, paid, and hated on by many:heh:

That role always = dollar signs, because boxing is a sport that's fueled by human emotions. People will PAY their hard earned money to see you win if they like you and people will pay their hard earned money to see you lose if they hate you.......key word is that they wanna SEE you, which in the business of boxing = $$$$

That's why I never understand why people say he should be humble....for what? If AB was humble, he'd be below Devon Alexander status:dead:

I wonder who else is gonna make a video about Broner needing to humble himself. Like nikkas ain't got shyt else to do. C'mon. :camby:

:mjlol: at a nikka throwing 9 punch killer instinct combos on retired taxi drivers on the non-televised portion of under cards wanting to tell someone that is more successful how he should act.

There is a difference between playing the bad guy and being an embarrassment. Broner is really bad at playing the bad guy persona no matter how hard he tries that it has gotten to the point that he just ends up looking like an ignorant clown.

Cant be bad at it if 1.4 million people are tuning in to watch you fight Gavin Rees, 1.3 million people tuning in to watch you fight Paulie Malignaggi, 1.3 million are tuning in to watch you fight Marcos Maidana, and you're getting paid 1.25 million to fight Carlos Molina as the opening act of the PPV:whew:

He's doing exactly what he has to do to keep his name ringing bells.:yeshrug:

Is there any black fighter, outside of Floyd Mayweather Jr, that has a bigger name in boxing than Adrien Broner? I dont think so, so obviously he's doing something right:manny:

I'm actually more offended at Tyler the Creator and his c00nish antics than I am with Broner. Broner comes off more like a reckless young nikka that does stupid shyt. Sometimes its funny and sometimes its sad, but either way it's entertaining. There's a Broner in everybody's hood. Just most of them don't box or become world famous on a level where everyone sees what they do.

arrogance is only good if you can back it up..this is where broner fails..he's arrogant without putting in the proper work and no one on his team checks him on it..i will say this..broner's act isnt forced..he is what he is..i dont support broner because that shyt he pulled when he had the 130 belt never sat right with me and he got worse with his nonsense after that

I feel where you coming from. Broner hasn't backed it up to a certain extent. I'll give him that credit. He's a victim of his own fukkery and it caught up to him in the Maidana fight and he looked shytty against Molina.

I just feel like Russell Jr has to do a lot more with his career before he can really drop gems on other nikkas. Even Floyd looks bad saying shyt, since he struggled with Maidana too, but st least he's reached a great level of success in his career.

I think Gary can be the truth though, but we'll see.
