Very good deal if the 3rd year is an option or partially guaranteed. KG can still play at a high level and he can mentor the young bigs they just drafted. Sullinger will probably have surgery so they'll bring back Bass...

Well considering he was getting like 19mil a year, getting him at 11 is actually a good deal. I feel like Ray is now gonna re-sign out of sentimental ogligation...and the fact they can pay him a lot more than Miami.

Considering KG is one of my favorite players in the league, I'm glad to see him get shine and 11 mil is the right price when he can easily still play at a high level when he needs to.

We'll see what happens three years from now though

plus all KG gotta do is play Center and has an advantage on most of his centers because of his length, plus he is practically more skilled than 90% of the centers in today's game because most of the centers are trash now. And the dude can help mask Sully's weakness on D and everyone else's weakness on D can be nullified to, unless he is off the floor

Uncertain grounds
Allen re-signs if the Celtics want him, period.

Allen has had roots in New England for years. Hell, he was working out at the LA Fitness down the road from me during the lockout...his mother lives about 15 minutes away. With Garnett coming back, the level of treachery that would be perceived for Allen to go to Miami if the Celtics offer him even close to a reasonable deal would be monstrous. I wouldn't rule it out, but with the MLE being less than 5.6 mil now, I don't see it being likely.

With that said, if the Celtics don't offer him a deal, then he might do it to spite Ainge. Who knows.

49ers..Braves..Celtics
:smh: @ people not seeing how this makes perfect sense.

1. KG is actually underpaid in this deal for what he provides. Does anyone pay attention? Every time KG leaves the court the paint opens up like a backpage ho.

2. The conference is still weak.

3. Miami Heat are better, yes. Even when both teams are healthy I would still say the Heat are better. BUT..say Wade goes down? Then all of a sudden Boston is looking at the East like :ohlawd:

I'm glad some of you aren't GM's :heh:
