I just want to point out that these "gamers" aren't real gamers. This is that social free to play gaming. If you ask if they have played any of top 10 games of each generation. Like PS4, PS3, etc. They will say no to 90% of them. They the type to play nothing but fortnight for 4 years straight and call themselves gamers.

i say that to say that is a completely different community to the actual gaming community. Gamers are playing Final Fantasy, Last of Us, God of War, SPiderman, Madden, NBA2k, Mortal Kombat 11, Triple A games the tend to use to cutting edge graphics. Those type of gamers are just normal people that game as a hobby. You play the newest release, beat it, go back to life until the next great game comes out.

These weirdos play league of legends 24 hours a day. No story or ending to game, You can't beat the game, its just an ongoing online muliplayer playground of weirdos. and they go on and on with the same game for years.

I've visited several youtube channels, they all seem to never play real games. They only stick to free to play type games. I saw one claim a year ago that this was their first time using a controller. I understand if he's been using a pc all this time but you never hooked up a controller to it?
These people just do this streaming gaming for money. They don't get hyped for any upcoming AAA titles. and they've never played any old school classics either.

There's a big difference between somebody like Chris Smoove and somebody like Pokimayne is all i'm saying. It's like when white people say they listen to hiphop, but the only artists in their catalog is eminem, machine gun kelly, post malone,beastie boys and tupac.

Wasn't talking about smash bros. just trying to point that this weirdo pedo drama isn't representative of gamer culture, because most of these streamers aren't really gamers, just people trying to make money off of games. I always get suspicious when people call themselves a pro gamer. because it usually means they only play one or two games 90% the time because obviously you can't be a pro at every game you've ever played. So the idea of being a pro means you don't play alot of games. If you not playing games outside of one or two, i don't feel like you are a real gamer.

Nah it's not a weird take. If you don't play nothing but 2-3 games a year you aren't a "gamer" per se. I don't consider dudes who only hop on CoD and maybe Madden to be gamers.

You might play basketball when you go to the gym for a game or 2 every other week but you aren't a real hooper in my eyes. It's the same thing here to me.
